A responsible partner

Nordisk Company is member of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), the largest business-driven initiative of its kind for retailers, importers and brand manufactures.

The BSCI code of conduct is build on internationally recognised labor standards protecting workers rights.

The practical implementation of the Code is controlled by independent auditing companies accredited by the international organisation Social Accountability International (SAI), which has issued the SA8000 standard.

The BSCI does not rely solely on audits but is based on a development approach. It aims at continuously improving the social performance of suppliers, encouraging them to apply for SA8000 certification.

The Whole BSCI process is accompanied by local and European stakeholder networks which bring their expertise to the initiative and help to ensure the long term local ownership of the process.
